This event has finished

Personally, we’re more excited about this than the Singapore GP – four days, 290 kinds of beer? Yes, please. Part-trade show, part-Oktoberfest, this inaugural event at Fort Canning Park will attract beer vendors from around the world, including 24 German brands making their Asian debut, plus the makers of popular craft beers like New York’s Brooklyn Brewery and Tripel Karmeliet, a citrusy Belgian brew that’s eight per cent alcohol. Yowza. The new MC from stand-up comedy club Howl at the Moon will perform, as well as Irish alt-rockers Ash (2 October) and local bands EIC and Reverie, among others.

Tickets cost $30 on Thursday and Friday and $40 on Saturday and Sunday. Buy tokens to sample beers once inside. Ticket packages for $85 or $95 include entry fee and 10 tokens.

Go to Sistic to buy tickets.

Indeed the Singapore Beer Festival was a well organised event. We were one of the exhibitors, offering our 100% pure draught beers from the Grand Ridge Brewery (The booth was operated by The Prince of Wales pub whom import directly Grand Ridge beers in Singapore) Sadly, the organisers did not re-imburse us the "coupons" we collected from customers. (The public purchased coupons at approximately S$10 each. The exhibitors would receive S$5 redemption per coupon). The organisers still owe us close to S$2,000. In summary, We will NOT be participating in the 2009 event. Regards, Malcolm Davies. Director Prince of Wales P/L
