Time Out says

Children’s season comes to the Philatelic Museum! The exciting array of exhibits and events features exhibitions such as the Star Wars themed 'Light vs Dark: Stamps and Collectibles', with a spotlight on all things concerning the galaxy far far away – stamps, a life-size R2-D2, and over 2,000 memorabilia and collectibles.

Special event 'May the Fourth Be With You' (no points for guessing the date of that one) calls all Star Wars fans – dress up as your favourite character and get in for free. Join in the quiz, and have your photo taken with the Storm Troopers, while checking out the merchandise exhibition.

Other child-centric exhibitions include 'Snakes and Ladders' (a chance to get to learn all there is to know about our reptilian friends – created in conjunction with the zodiac year of the snake) and 'Spice is Nice', a voyage of discovery (for all of your senses) about the spice trade.

On 'Spicy Saturdays' (18 May & 22 Jun), kids can combine exploring the spice exhibition with a trip to the Fort Canning Spice Garden, with participants creating their own ‘origami spice frame’ to take home. Other Saturday activities include International Museum Day (18 May) and 3D Figurine Workshops (1 & 15 Jun). For those kids who have watched the film and wondered what nocturnal museum life is really like, take part in the 'Night At the Museum' event (6 Jun); a sleepover to remember with games, crafts and discovery.
