Time Out says

In its first edition since the repeal of Section 377A, Singapore’s annual LGBTQ+ rally and pride celebration, Pink Dot, returns this year with an emphasis on diversifying the conversation around social and legal definitions of a family in Singapore. Despite the fact that gay sex is no longer criminalised in Singapore, gay marriage still isn’t legally recognised by the government. As of now, the heterosexual family unit remains the only definition of a family that’s recognised by the government, excluding other family types. The organisers of this year’s Pink Dot hope to celebrate and promote acceptance of the diverse range of LGBTQ+ families (and other non-traditional families) during the rally. If this message resonates with you, or if you simply want to support the LGBTQ+ community and celebrate Pride Month, put on your pink shirts and head to Hong Lim Park on June 24 from 4pm to 8pm.
