Foie gras at Saveur, movie at GV Katong

First published on 25 Jan 2012. Updated on 31 Aug 2012.

The guys behind Saveur (5 Purvis Street, www.saveur.sg. Mon-Sat 11am-2pm; Thu-Tue 6-9.30pm), Dylan Ong and Joshua Khoo, have shown us that dining out on French cuisine does not need to break the bank. Take your date to this cozy French restaurant beside Raffles Hotel, and try the foie gras ($7.50) and duck confit ($8.80). Tip: make sure to play up this dining choice as an in-the-know, ‘check out this little place I discovered’, to avoid just coming off as cheap. Follow this dinner up with a film by walking a few metres down to either Bugis Junction or Bugis+.
