2013 Singapore St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival

Proving that the indie scene is getting bigger and better, the third annual all-day music fest will be relocating from Fort Canning Park to the majestic Meadow at Gardens By The Bay. Hipsters (and other music lovers) rejoice, and get pumped up for a good time with indie-rockers Cloud Nothings, Alt-J and Divine Fits, as well as a returning appearance by Yeasayer. Expect electronica experimental artist Nicolas Jaar, garage rockers Japandroids and psychedelic rock quintet Tame Impala to amp up the volume with their sets, while folk-electronic Bat for Lashes and indie-folk Kings of Convenience slow things down with their smooth, dreamy tracks. Even if you're not into indie bands, you'd definitely recognise names like Gotye and Kimbra: the artists behind the smash hit 'Somebody That I Used to Know.' Watch out for indie newbie Polica, plus Icelandic indie-pop band Of Monsters and Men, who need little introduction from their hugely popular single 'Little Talks.'
