Nestled within the hillside close to Fort Canning Centre in Fort Canning Park, the Battle Box was the largest underground military operations complex on the island during World War II. Now you can walk through its 22 rooms, some of which still contain the original bunkers, and see the re-creation of the British surrender to the Japanese as told via wax figurines, video and audio effects. To help you feel like you were there, air-raid sirens and bomb blasts go off around you.
