Wu Guanzhong’s donation of 113 works to the Singapore Art Museum in 2008 is the highest-valued donation presented to a public museum in Singapore. This exhibition will showcase five decades of the artist’s works, with the synthesising of ink and oil representing historical and aesthetic contexts of traditional Chinese and Western art.

Was watching a documentary on the artist on CCTV on a business trip to Shenzhen, and his work really captivated me like no other paintings had. Pleasing colour scheme, perfect framing, captures the mood gracefully. Wu Guanzhong just won my heart, and is now my favourite painter!
