This accessible and quirky exhibition aims to introduce new audiences to the ideas and forms of contemporary art by shining the spotlight on SAM’s most iconic contemporary work. The whole building will be transformed into a dramatic stage for a stellar cast of paintings, sculptures, videos, photographs and performances from across South-East Asia. This exhibition marks the start of SAM’s new contemporary art agenda centred on enabling artistic development through curated exhibitions and programming platforms. A line-up of curatorial lectures, artist presentations, screenings and performances awaits.
