This collection of Chabet's creations from the past 26 years highlights his processes and reflects on his practice, and is curated by Ringo Bonoan, Isabel Ching and Nilo Ilarde. The first in a four-part exhibition that will be held in both Singapore and Hong Kong, it is jointly organised by the Osage Art Foundation and Lasalle College of the Arts's Institute of Contemporary Arts, Singapore, and will feature the Philippine artist's plywood works where he uses store-bought plywood boards both as canvas and subject.
On 12 Feb, the gallery makes way for 'Complete & Unabridged Part I', which will feature works from over 75 contemporary artists in the Philippines whom he has mentored or influenced. On 5 March, 'Intermediate Geography', Chabet's installation first displayed in 2005, will be be reconstructed and exhibited at Osage Soho in Hong Kong, to be followed by 'Complete & Unabridged Part II' at Osage Kwun Tong.
