SNAP is the latest effort from National Library Singapore to preserve Singapore’s memories in pictorial format, in a collective effort to archive the past. The many categories, including geography, people, arts, ethnic communities and politics, are efficiently displayed and sorted at snap.nl.sg, while pictures of Singapore before the 1980s are being accepted by Flickr SNAP at flickr.com/photos/snapsg. While you’re at the Flickr site, check out entries from the photography competition entitled ‘43 Things That Remind Me of Singapore’ (lots of aunties and uncles featured here).
