Styled as a midtown Manhattan bar, The Living Room is located smack in the middle of prime Orchard Road real estate at the Marriott Hotel. Though one might not expect to see a fireplace in the tropics, there’s a (fake) one here to help you imagine you’re seeking boozy shelter from a blizzard. The interior might look a little stiff, but musical regulars like DJ Samurai help to warm up the atmosphere. Big plus: no cover charge – but do remember that the age requirements are hiked up. If you’re looking to re-enact true Big Apple behaviour, make use of the Marriott’s posh valet service. Just remember: we don’t tip here.
Living Room Bar was included in our recent One Night Stand feature.

"Bo Pian", as you correctly pointed out, this is a public forum - and if it is true what Jo is advising, then it is good and valuable information for all of us and the management of this establishment should sack everyone involved - at the end of the day - they are shooting themselves in the foot by allowing such things to go on.

The way that this place is run is like a scam. Was staying at the Marriotts on a stopover last year and decided to go down for a drink as I was feeling jet lagged. To cut a long story short, I had a few and knocked over a glass. They demanded $200 for the glass as compensation. What? of course I refused and told them where to go stick it. This place does not know how to treat their customers and is more of a mafia-run type organisation. Go at your own risk

I couldn't agree more with Jo. I havn't been back in ages since my last visit, but seriously a place full of working girls that's pretending to be a midtown Manhatten bar? I would rather go to Bangkok or Pattaya if i were into that sort of action. I must say that the bar staff were quite rude when i last visited - not worth it if u ask me.

Why are u sabotaging someone elses' business like that? This is a public forum u know, such comments can seriously damage an estab's reputation and essentially revenues in this highly competitive environment. Cut some slack also on making references to Malays and Indians - we're not living in colonial age anymore.
