You say ‘teem-bre’, I say ‘tam-bre’ – it doesn’t matter how you pronounce the name of this establishment. It’s your ability to appreciate the live music that counts. Though Timbre has opened its second location while simultaneously celebrating the second anniversary of the original Armenian Street venue, Timbre’s new digs are undoubtedly more sophisticated, occupying what used to be Q Bar. The riverfront locale is breezy and picturesque, and the view of glittering Boat Quay serves as a nice backdrop for the stage. The nightly drink promotions are certainly attractive; however, on the night we went, the martini promotion came at the expense of the drink itself. Does moderately priced equal serving patrons a half-empty drink?

I used to like timbre quite abit, went there once a mth abt 2 yrs ago. but it seems like since last year, success has gotten to their heads. firstly, it is so hard to get a table there. i understand that you need to mk reservations for the weekends. but hey when i try to do it weeks ahead, reservation closed. and another time was at timbre mobile ecp, we were there 7pm , 3/4 of the place empty. refused a table cos "no reservation" foolish right? could had just given it to us for an hour or something. horrbile service as well!
