Somewhat notorious as a point of convergence for the bold, beautiful, desperate, weird or, ahem, ‘working’, this club screams utter shamelessness. While hiphop lovers grind away on the tiny ground floor, a distinctively Euro crowd (you know the type) bucks to laser-light displays upstairs at Attica Too.

Yes, I agree that Attica is selective about the people they let in but we as girls definitely don't want creeps around the club trying to make cheap moves at grabbing our asses. Yes, it does have a bad reputation but that does not mean that everyone who goes there is like that. As long as you go there and have your own fun, no one is going to bother you. It's a great place to make some party friends. No harm making small talk but what you do is all up to.

Okay, racism issue? Yet to come across it, am an singaporean indian mind you so yes. And I don't understand what's the vibe all about the place. Youngsters this days are like going on and on about oh its the place to be. And rude wise, I've encountered extremely nice people inside except outside, this chick who works there as a an ID checker or something. Very rude. Besides that, knock yourself out.

[edited] Attica does select who can enter based on their adherence to dress-code, conduct and spending abilities. Any self-respecting club should avoid bad crowds. Anyone who thinks Attica selects people based on race is dumb and probably has a race-related inferiority complex.
The fact is the owners of Attica are Indian, the management teams got Malay, Filipino and Chinese staff and the club staff, bartenders and servers come from virtually every demographic that is represented in Singapore.
It's a fine establishment and if you appear cheap they don't want you there. simple as that.

Then why do ppl still go to that place and get bullied by fools. Just boycott and teach the club ppl some manners...

I always found attica to be a generally unfriendly place. The bar staff are bad, the door policy is whatever it is but most of all the atmosphere is really crap and people are not in a cool vibe, more see and be seen setup. There is a megalomaniac called Cash or something like this. Owner or something, going around wearing a crown and being abusive – personally experienced this when he threw a friend out of the club for something really stupid. Anyway it’s just my opinion but it is a bad club with bad attitude. This thing about picking up girls, does happen but its way out of proportion. Sorry to hear about the racist experiences. With the money spent in there its better to leave singapore for the weekend rather than the clarke quay. At the end of the day its the people that make the place.

The club bouncers are so profound to not allow my friends and me as they think our t-shirts and shirts are not branded and they do not qualify for the club entrance and i guess its high time for those stupid bouncers to let their balls go do some shopping to actually know the brands as they only wear a mortuary styled coat which has not been washed for ages and smells to great extent. please just avoid such cheap clubs and i would recommend to go Avalon which is more elite and has good rapport and which knows how to respect customers.

I can agree with that Attica bouncers are very rude and racists. I am fully swedish, so I have never had any problems getting in and I am usually offered VIP.. but i know that some of my friends have not gotten in because of where they are from. It's very racist in that aspect, the bouncers are very specific with the crowd they let in. I find this to be ridiculous. but apart from that, i think Attica is great and the VIP section always has great service! And the music in Attica Too is really good!

Just buy a roberto cavalli bottle and they will let u in! It is the best club in singpore and i go there every week. At the entry you will see this guy called kong just go to him and tell to him you want a bottle and he will let u in. Every time i went i hooked up with atleast three hot girls.

Strangely my many experiences at Attica have all been extremely nice! I sort of understand the racism complaints, it's definitely a crowd that favours the older foreigners over younger locals, but I do appreciate the fact that this club is a business and they have a right to target only a certain type of customer.
Although, I myself, a 19-year-old Indian-Chinese (and most of my girls that I club with are Chinese) have never been discriminated by the bouncers, in fact they are all super nice and are trained well to recognise regular clubbers, not preyed on by the Whites.
Music in Attica is better than the more electropop Attica Too, and overall extremely well remixed and very easy to sing along to and get high on. Love love love Attica overall and it's possibly my favourite club in all of Clarke Quay; nice friendly bouncers, fantastic music, smallish dancefloor which makes it intimate enough, beautifully designed outdoor patio for smokers.

Hi all,
Singapore is much more easier to enjoy than other places I have experienced. I love music in Attica. Attica plays really a great music on weekend. I tried there three time they allowed me once. another time me and my friend went there, they allowed my friend (Indian guest) and did not allow me no problem we both went to Zirka.
I am also an Indian, so I think It is a matter of time and mood of bouncers. I agree that one bouncer is very bad and he should be kicked out by the club owner. they are not racist as you can see a lot of black skin people inside the club, so the question is how they got in: just enjoy man go to Zouk Zirka Arena etc you have many options in singapore..=

Getting pissed over clubs where they choose their crowd is like going to an italian restaurant complaining they don't have chicken rice.
Obviously the club owners have their own target audience and therefore have the right to decide who does/doesn't enter the club.
In addition, bouncers are there to just do their job. Why take them personally? There are so many other awesome clubs in Singapore so there's no point in getting all so sour over a trivial matter. It's an unnecessary concern guys. Take a chill pill and have fun somewhere else :)

Attica is really a racist club! They dont let in guys who are Malay, Indian or Chinese. I mean literally they made in so obvious that our europeans friends in my group protested and the bouncer just flexes him muscle and says yeah you want to fight? what huh? DO NOT GO HERE!!

a year ago i joined my friends birthday group, many who were Indian and upon queing about half of our group, well dressed I might add, were denied while the rest of us, White and Chinese, were allowed in (for which we all decided to go elsewhere). Unfortunately this appears to remain the status quo. Unfortunately the astonished and disgusted among us probably recognize that even if there were a neon billboard sign stating "entry dependent on race," this would not make a difference in this night life subculture as we are talking about Singapore here.

Attica is the most racist club in Singapore! They told me and friend that we were too young and they let our friend younger than us go in. They then told two guys who were clearly old enough that they were not wearing the proper attire. The third time they did not allow two guys to go because "they have to buy their beer first?" The only thing we had similar was that we were all dark.

When I read these comments months back before I moved to Singapore, I thought these were merely rare incidents. But after months of clubbing in Attica I have changed my opinion now. The bouncers are rude and they do have discrimination for skin color.

Guys n Girls, just chill out first. Whats Racism, its when a white guys can go in and other skin people are banned and who bans you, the very most guys with same brown skin......
last night me and couple of buddies heard bout the club and were on the way. We are from canada and orgin though indian, we are mostly canadians.
Guess what, my white frends were let in and me and my other buddy was jsut told by this bouncer, get off the fucking line, yes same words, and we asked why, he says do you wanna get bashed, i said go ahead, its a public property unless you own the freaking jail in singapore.
Then the bar girl came for rescue to only tell us, we cant be let in... no reason what so ever. If you are too open to racism, just put up a freaking sign saying, no indians or brownies allowed.
Too much embarassing and humiliating and fun is, the public is watching calmly, hey come to canada and if a bouncer do like this to you, cause you are asian, they get knocked down badly.
Can management of attica, clarify this incident, else every forum for travellers guide in canada is gonna be filled with this.....

I don't think I have ever been treated so rudely, or unprofessionally. My friend and I were picked to move out of the line because we are of Indian descent.
Never mind we are both well dressed, both over 25, apparently we were not allowed in because its a couples only night.
The only problem was that in front of us there were 4 white guys on a stag night. I didn't particularly care for this and went to talk to the bouncer who then tried to intimidate me with threats like "you want to leave before you get hurt" etc etc and quite possibly was about to assault me but for the intervention of a female employee who got inbetween us and was telling him to calm down.
She parroted a line about a private club being able to remove from the line anyone they wanted, but I could tell she wasn't that proud of it.
Its people like her I feel truly sorry for; having to debase people of your own race just to make cash (she was of Indian descent as well). I am Canadian and was completely stunned by the attitude shown here against Indians and Malaysians. Racism is indeed an issue here in Singapore.
