Dragonfly at St James Power Station

 Oft-described as ‘the bar where ah lians and ah bengs gather’, this assumption is only half-true. The performers at this live-music room actually play a good mix of English and Mandarin favourites until the end of happy hour. Then dancers, aerialists and guest performers throng the stage and transform the place into something resembling a getai, albeit classier.

Sun-Thu: men $12, women $10; includes one drink. Fri & Sat: men $20, women $15; includes one drink. 
Happy hour: 8pm-9.30pm; minimum age: 18 for women, 23 for men.
