citizen, I too got the same racial profiling from the bouncers but didn't get rejected. I'm Malay, but I didn't see what the problem was at the time: I'm old enough (27), I gave my DRIVERS LICENSE and the guy who checked it still had to go to his colleague and ask whether I should be let in. I can't find any other reason besides that.
Secondly, the bar service. Honestly, it's quite crap. With 5 "bar crew" (they don't deserve to be called bartenders), 2 cashiers and 1 washer to such a small bar space, they can definitely do better. I hate to compare but I went to Dbl O on the same week and with the same staff strength but double the bar space, they managed to get the drinks out pretty okay. Meanwhile in Rebel, I (and a foreigner beside me) were waiting forever to get served (almost 15 minutes) and he got fed up and left.
Ironically we were at the middle part of the bar. HIGH SERVICE ACTION on the sides though, so good for them! Best attention grabber for the bar crew: tits and a 20-inch waist, apparently.
My suggestion? Whoever is on washing duty that night, please don't use the same uniform as the "bar crew". Because he's just there to wash glasses and keep the place tidy and NOTHING ELSE so it makes people angry to see him being the only free guy that wouldn't take/make orders. An apron would be great. Sends out a clear message.
And to stamp out any "you think you can do any better" sentiments: I've worked in the F&B line at high human traffic areas for a few years, and my baristas/bartenders can definitely work faster than them. Sense of urgency is key. If you can dance and tie your hair and go to the toilet and talk to your colleagues for more than 15 seconds, you're doing it wrong.
The DJ that night wasn't really that charismatic and only relied on familiar tunes to get the people excited. One good way to cut cost: get rid of the DJ and just use my iTunes playlist. And spend a little more to make a cardboard cutout of a babe. Megan Fox would be good, I would definitely look towards the DJ booth more often. Change the babe every month to keep it exciting!
But what REALLY turned me off? Eenie meenie miney mo lover. No thank you. Never going to this club again.

this club rejects indians and malays for no apparent reason. its really biased. jus last sat(18th aug),approx 50 ppl of mixed races were rejected. we're not troublemakers and we've frequented the club longer than the average crowd. This is seriously appalling.

Saturday nights at this club is chockers! Starts off with R&B/Urban music and gradually changes to commercial house and techno from approximately 2am. Some of the best music I have heard in Singapore - some pretty new songs are being played. DJs are better here than at other places I have been in Singapore. Would definitely return!

firstly, for some strange reason, they have this raised plaform at the entrance, just after the ticketing, and i see lots of pple slipped on it.. went on a wednesday night, the dance floor was not full or packed, even at 1-2am, which was like the peak hour..
