I visited the rooftop bar/bistro last Friday and it was an experience I would never want to repeat. I observed security staff chatting and playing with their phones rather than doing their jobs. I even offered one of the staff a drink but was told they aren't allowed to drink on duty. How is it then that a security staff was drinking while supposedly 'hiding' in the crowd?
When I tried to catch the staff's attention to order drinks they were too engrossed in talking to each other to take notice of me. I had to resort to walking down to the bar and getting drinks myself. What's the point of a service charge when I'm getting no service whatsoever?
Definitely don't recommend the place. Good view, expensive drinks, terrible service.

I took my stuff for birthday drink, we were there around 11:45pm. Luckily it was a ladies night, and I was with my wife. I've read so many comments about this place 1-Altitude, more bad than good. From my point of view, I give this joint a 10 out of 10! Cause what else you want for $25 entry along with a drink, that's awesome! Staff were very polite and service was very satisfying. We did not have booking, but the waiter was good enough to tell me and my wife along with my staff to sit down and relax. They even brought drinks from the bar. For the price it's too good, I'll definitely advise other friends and colleagues to visit.

Was there this evening the cashier at was at the entrance was very rude and when I went to the 63rd level I had to wait 15mins to get my drink!!!! when I ordered some drinks and gave payment I had to wait at the cashier for more than 45 mins to get to make payment There was no cashier, you should not open why bother to open? Cashier is not around, no bartenders around...hopeless. Never again will I come back. Zero on service.

Have had average experiences when I have gone there. Obviously, an excellent view. Service is slow and it takes a long time to get a drink. The waiters often push by you and rudely ask you to move from the "aisles", but there is not much space to move up there. One male waiter approached us about drinks and as we had just entered we told him we were in the process of finding the entrance receipt with our drinks on it. Rudely, he told us to "get it then!" I can't believe I was treated like such a child.

Anti Gopi, define poor service and define when you say "Singapore don't understand service" Kindly define your "understanding of service" to US SINGAPOREANS.
Because personally I've been to Altitude multiple times and the service staff are amazing and friendly. Very efficient as well.

Gopi people of Singapore don't understand service. If you are a waiter and someone asks you to get them a drink that is service not slavery. You also get 10 percent service charge to cover this plus tip.

I went for a corporate dinner. the starters were served in portions of four in a plate. the strangest thing was that they serve the plate with four portions to 3 persons with no diet restructions and 1 vegetarian diet and the plate with 3 portions to 4 diners with no dietary restrictions. it was awkward since it is corporate dining and it is not like u are among friends. same thing happened for the serving of dessert.

We had dinner for a table of 16 but the food was pretty naff. Service was slow, although friendly, food portions were definitely on the small side.
We wanted to go out after for some food as most of us were still hungry! Went to the roof bar for drinks after and was appalled. We were told to stop dancing several times - we don't have a disco licence so please stop - the staff growled at us.
Why the hell do they have a DJ and "dance" music belting out??? Also, we were asked to move at around 12:30am from a table as it was "reserved"!! It was a free standing table no chairs, no view.
We had just been using it to place our drinks. 2 (very embarrassed) guys moved to the table and stood there hugging their orange juices. We left then.
Having spent a huge amount of money we were all starting to feel a tad p'd off with the whole place.
Have been in SIngapore for 12 years and will not be going back and will certainly not recommend. Altitude? Attitude more like!

Inflexible staff, bad service and expensive drinks (15/shots, 20/drinks)... You're better off at any of the other rooftop bars.
The DJ is the worst, an average mixer with a big attitude. Some one really needs to tell him he is no big shot.

We have been there many times ,just like going to any attractions or night spots one has to loosen up and project a friendly image not only to pretty faces or someone wearing tuxedo or designers outfit. Project respect and warmness to all the staffs first and go with the flow. People will migrate to your policy. Even hotels and airlines have difficulties too.

Coming from the States, I thought it was all gimmicky when I was told this is the highest point in Singapore ... or that you can see the whole of Singapore in open air.
I was wrong, you do see everything and you are in the air (literally) ... Drinks was really good too...maybe it is just the atmosphere.
I was in their sister unit 126 in my last trip and I had thought that the service there was already very good, but 1-Altitude definitely beats that experience. I will be back!

when we called up to reserve a table at the rooftop bar, the lady over the phone said "we do not accept reservation" and when we turned up early at 7.30pm, all the tables were reserved.
and later when i asked the waiter for my 1st drink, he told me "You are supposed to get it yourself at the bar counter"
I felt like a kid being reprimand by the teacher
$15 dollars cover charget to get such an experience. great!
only thing good - the view is great!

The service was awesome. I was from the Hospitality Industry, so I can understand all previous comments. Reckon that they have changed their staff. Give them a second chance.
