This smoking yet non-smoky bar serves up some of the best happy hour deals in Chinatown. (The name means Chinatown in Spanish, by the way.) And after nagging from punters, it’s now open during the day. Whereas you used to have to rely on other restaurants for sustenance, Barrio has now opened up its own kitchen. Try the bruschetta ($10 for a dozen), which will more than keep the hunger pangs at bay until dinner. A happy-hour glass of wine is $6, rising to $12 during regular hours.
Barrio Chino was included in our recent Eye on the ball feature.
