Though Bora Bora is located at the ‘unsexy’ end of Sentosa on Palawan Beach, what you lose out in eye candy is more than compensated for with excellent service, tranquil surroundings (read: no annoying high-pitch giggles), and deckchairs that don’t cost extra to use and come splinter-free.

The beach bar, which faces the ocean, attracts a regular clientele happy to avoid the Sunday ‘see-and-be-seen’ tradition of KM8 and Café del Mar; they’d rather be surrounded by good pizzas ($16), burgers ($12), ice-cold beers ($8-$14) and power-packed mojitos ($10) instead. For the sun-shy, there are hammocks and a pool table ($2 a game) available.

Kitchen closes at 8pm. Last order for drinks is at 8.30pm.
