Domus Café & Bar

Little India isn’t just all about eating dosais, shopping at Mustafa Centre or strolling along Desker Road. Increasingly, quirky, left-of-centre bars are finding their niche within the confines of the refurbished shophouses. One such spot is Domus Café & Bar located just off Race Course Road. Its name draws inspiration from the ancient Italian homes that often contain an indoor courtyard, just like this charming spot does, in which rustic benches and tables have been set up in tall bamboo surroundings to help create that ‘alone in your own world’ feeling. Atmosphere aside, Domus boasts a curious concoction you’ve probably never had the pleasure of sampling before: vodka and Yakult cocktails ($12). The bar, which doubles up as a gallery space has a front indoor portion decked out with floral wallpaper and white acrylic seats.
