Ebar @ The Cathay

The next time you watch a film so troubling you need a stiff drink immediately, you’ll be thankful for this little watering hole. The alfresco hangout spot on the fourth floor has a lovely view – and will be even lovelier once the never-ending construction of the Circle Line is completed. While it’s not particularly spacious, Ebar is still a welcome respite from the bustle of the mall and a handy place to cool your heels while waiting for your boyfriend/girlfriend to get his/her bits waxed. If you’re a teetotaller, there are basic beverages such as coffee, but otherwise knock back a beer ($6-$7 per glass), or sip on a glass of wine ($9 per glass or $42 a bottle). Go down from 6-8pm, and enjoy one-for-one offers on vino.
