Situated in an earthy spot at Jurong Hill, opposite the Jurong Bird Park, this cosy bar feels just right after a visit to the squawking attraction. If you're lucky there'll be some chilli vodka left to dare your friends into drinking: fire-breathing dragons ain't got nothing on the heat that voddie can produce.
El Barrio was featured in Convival Pursuit: Wild West Pubs.

My girlfriend can't get enough of their spicy wings, was told by the waitress the sauce is made in house. The place has went through a big change it is now clean and has a pool table. The staff are friendly and always felt welcome.

Yes this place has been taken over and I would say for the best. last time there I didn't want to eat cause the place was messy and smelled funny. Now its all cleaned up and the food is real good the wings are to die for, real good value and so friendly its like I am one of the family.

I went along to watch the Man Utd Liverpool game on Saturday. Outdoor TV under a covered area which was nice and cool. I ordered a basket of chicken wings for a snack and they were more like Ostrich wings, they were huge and cooked to perfection.
Strongbow cider on draft also. Overall, nice atmosphere, good food, good selection of beer and cider and friendly. Will be back for sure.

Me and my family went down this weekend, and went into El Barrio, I was there few months back and what a change! They have really cleaned the place and the prices are cheap for such really great food. Also the kids under 12 eat free! Will be going back for sure next weekend.

We tried this one out this Wednesday, mainly because it is the closes bar/pub to our place at Jurong Point (The Centris).
Direct connection with Bus 251 is very convenient und you are there in less than 10min from Boon Lay Stn. We enjoyed some nice beers and the mixed platter.
The serving was very big and the two of us didn't manage to finish it all. For only 10$+ it was very affordable. The chairs and tables are nice and pretty new. Inside it was a bit smelly though.
The kitchen needs some clean up and better maintenance. This one is good for watching a soccer game with friends or just go for a nice drink and a snack after business.
We are going to come back and try some of the more local food. It was pretty quiet around but maybe it is more busy on weekends? We will come back.
