just returned from hacienda. have to agree to most of the threads. the service is simply abysmal. staff seems to be bored and uninterested, even arrogant except a few of the younger guys. cocktails inedible to some extend. a pity since its such a cozy and lush location.

Was a loyal patron of Hacienda since it opened. But was shocked by the changes when I went back a few months ago. The drinks selections is so limited now and the service was so bad too. Have since switched to other bars to chill...

Been to Hacienda previously and had some hit and miss experiences. Love the set up and the ambience. The owners are spot on with this casual but chic al fresco garden bar. I noticed that the entire team at Hacienda was changed since their renovation and anniversary recently. They are professional, polite and amazingly, they are smiley and hospitable! In this town, that's a miracle... :P Well done!

Service is hit and miss in Singapore, mostly misses. If you are lucky, you get one who knows and treats you as a customer. If you meet one who has a little product knowledge consider yourself luckier than striking the lotto. Most of the time, be satisfied you don't meet a service personnel who growls at you and think you owe him or her a living.

Get a grip all of you. Nat is so in the right. If people are incaple of providing service then it should be broadcasted. If Singaporeans think they know service then clearly none have travelled further afield! In fact probably never. Jam the Hacienda I will never go back . For the cardinal rule in hospitality is MONEY = SERVICE NOT ARROGANCE

This guy below called Common Sense thinks too much of himself. Nat could have heard of friends having the same experience AFTER it happened to her. As for Nat's case, who knows what happened, maybe she didn't make the time clear or something. But whatever it is, if the manager laughed at her for any reason then it was not professional. But Singaporeans in general think too highly of the quality of their service.

Nat you booked for a time before the place opens and you blamne the place? They probably thought you were joking or stupid or both. Considering you knew this has happened before to your friends you have confirmed your stupidity by wanting to go there agaan and confirmed to me it must be a desirable place to go if you have copped that treatement and want to go back. Too many idiots not enough air.

Yesterday I received the WORST service I have ever experienced in Singapore at Hacienda (I know this is not an isolated affair either at this outlet, as friends have also experienced similar over the past 12 months) I had booked tables for 30 people for my birthday celebrations at Hacienda for 4pm yesterday and sent out formal invitations to friends. During the week I once again called Hacienda to confirm the booking (knowing that friends had experienced problems before, I wanted to double confirm). On arriving there yesterday we found it to be closed with dirty glasses and other remnants from the evening before scattered everywhere, and was told by some workmen it wasn’t open until later. As you can imagine I was completely shocked and then annoyed as I can confirmed twice for this booking. We then had to relocate to another location as people were turning up for the celebrations with nowhere to go. At 5pm I then had a call from the reservations manager asking what my problem was and he actually laughed at me when I told him I had called twice to confirm the booking during the week. This was the lowest behavior I have experienced from someone in hospitality and totally unprofessional. A few friends that hadn’t realized we had moved locations had turned up to Hacienda and he then told them that I had cancelled last minute and messed him around, failing to mention or take responsibility for completely wrecking my birthday. To be honest, we are all sick of the bad service and attitude of the staff there and clearly the staff working at Hacienda should not be hospitality as they are completely incapable of doing their job.

Saturday 14th June - I have to update the Mojitos review for Hacienda. This time we had to return ours and another table did likewise. They were a glass of ice sitting in about an inch of liquid. When they came back after we asked for some soda in them, the were mouth wrenching. Training required behind bar.

My experiences here have been amazing and the bartenders and staff remember your name (and drinks). Ha but maybe that's becuz our friends are regular alcoholics! :D Great weekend DJs especially Kaye the saxophonist cum DJ.

Cool set up, guest djs etc but possibly the WORST service I have ever had. Period! Was there for 1 hour, ordered the drinks in 5 mins but the drinks didn't come despite numerous reminders and "they're on the way, sir". Pity... but bad, bad, bad!!
