This unpretentious, yellow-painted pub and backpacker hostel is a slice of Down Under. The sunny decor features touches of red gum timber; Aussie draught beers include Gippsland Gold and Brewers Pilsener. Outside, find wooden benches, barbecues and revelry.

Mr_Q should also consider the quality of POW's imported draught brew compared to local Tiger etc.

Mr Q is right to say the eateries down the road have cheaper beer... they also have plastic chairs, no aircon, no live music, no sport on TV, and they are subject to different licensing. The PoW remains one of the cheapest pubs in Singapore, and one of the most fun places to enjoy a beer.

The beer is completely overpriced. Just go to one of the little eateries down the street if you want a drink.
