On an island not so far away, there opened a new bar called Privé. Located across a sleek, trendy-looking bridge (if a bridge can be referred to as ‘trendy’) on the ground floor of the marina at Keppel Island, Privé is stunning in the simplicity of its decor, and how it incorporates the sights and sparkling lights of the marina and nearby Caribbean-style condo into its open, breezy atmosphere. Its newness is reflected in the way the staff approach you tepidly, and how panic flashes across their faces when you ask them to cite their most popular cocktails. But the drinks are well made and you come back to the main island (yes, Singapore) feeling like you’ve been away.

I was horrified recently when a family thought it was acceptable to change their baby's nappy in a restaurant!

Children are pest. THey smell and scream and make everything a pain, from restaurants to airplanes. And they pay LESS?? They should pay MORE!

I'm glad for the non family orientated service. I'm totally sick of "fine" dining places that have noisy children. How "fine" can that dining experience be?
