The Privé Group’s brand new concept – in the wake of their recently closed Hacienda – comes in the form of The Green Door, which gives the space a gorgeous vintage revamp and outdoor-friendly food and drinks. Perched on the edge on a tiny bit of green on Dempsey Road, this ‘before & after’ bar seeks to serve all-grown-up yuppies and their families in the off-hours. Adult drink options include wine and champagne, as well as signature fruity cocktails like Marilyn Chambers’ Tipple ($19) and Terrible Tyler’s Threesome ($19), a passionfruit and citrus vodka drink which, according to Privé Group's executive chairman Yuen Oeji, is named after his newborn and the hopes he has for his future. Snack options here are designed for single-hand eating – we recommend the tender pan- seared pork belly mini burger trio ($13) and crispy corn and shrimp fritters ($15) – otherwise look to the key icons on the menu for direction – they’re Oeji’s personal picks.
