As iconic as the hotel it’s located in, the Long Bar is the birthplace of the famous Singapore Sling cocktail. The decor is apparently inspired by the Malayan plantations of the 1920s, and when you enter you feel like you are walking into a timewarp. Big fan of the Singapore Sling? Raffles Hotel recently released not one, but six new Slings ($25++) in tribute to the original. One of them is the refreshing Spring Sling, concocted in all fruity goodness, with Smirnoff Apple Vodka and Apple Sourz mixed with pineapple and orange juices. Raise a toast to history in one of the oldest bars in Singapore.
