You say ‘teem-bre’, I say ‘tam-bre’ – it doesn’t matter how you pronounce the name of this establishment. It’s your ability to appreciate the live music that counts. Though Timbre has opened its second location while simultaneously celebrating the second anniversary of the original Armenian Street venue, Timbre’s new digs are undoubtedly more sophisticated, occupying what used to be Q Bar. The riverfront locale is breezy and picturesque, and the view of glittering Boat Quay serves as a nice backdrop for the stage. The nightly drink promotions are certainly attractive; however, on the night we went, the martini promotion came at the expense of the drink itself. Does moderately priced equal serving patrons a half-empty drink?

I had my birthday on 26th june at timbre substation.. i booked a table on Tues and they put me at the service table!!! they would not change my table! and they gave away better tables for walk in! what's the point of making a reservation then??? after, since i was next to the serivce station, i helped myself to a napkin, the service lady ' PLEASE do not help yourself to the napkins'.. well.. then you should have given me some in the 1st place!! then after the waiter 'pls do not put the wings in the ashtray.. you know.. its AN ashtray'!! you know what? give me plates then when someone orders chicken wings.. in fact, i could go on and on. but the last straw can when after we spend $500 bucks, the moment the last glass was cleared, the same door bi#%h informed me that there was a queue waiting for the table.. pls pls pls.. the music might be good.. but the SERVICE IS ATROCIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

timbre at the substation. food wasn't bad. service was painfully disappointing. slow, rude, and overall, complacent. improve or there wont be returning customers.

okay, it was my birthday. but timbre make it the worst birthday party i ever had. firstly, the serivce sucks, , my friend ordered a cocktail but there was no taste of alcohol at all. i asked for a change of drink, but, the manager came to me and said that i will have to pay additional for my drink?! WTF?! i have to pay EXTRA when your drink doesnt have any taste of alcohol?!!? secondly, i cut my cake and wanted them for some fork, but they said that they dont have fork ?!? WHAT?! THE WHOLE PUB DONT EVEN HAVE FORKS ?!?!?!. IT IS NOT AS IF I DIDNT PAY FOR SERVICE CHARGE. I AM EXTREMELY DIGUSTED WITH THE SERVICE I SWEAR !!!!!!!

I am so disappointed with this place, i cant be bothered to say anymore. Avoid visiting at all costs. There are better places in Singapore, easily. period.

I used to like timbre quite abit, went there once a mth abt 2 yrs ago. but it seems like since last year, success has gotten to their heads. firstly, it is so hard to get a table there. i understand that you need to mk reservations for the weekends. but hey when i try to do it weeks ahead, reservation closed. and another time was at timbre mobile ecp, we were there 7pm , 3/4 of the place empty. refused a table cos "no reservation" foolish right? could had just given it to us for an hour or something. horrbile service as well!
