Boiler Room at St James Power Station

The cavernous space is crowded with tall tables leaving little room for dancing, which is disappointing because the solid top 40 cover band – led by a Chaka Khan-loving singer and spiced up by dancing girls who change their outfits every few songs – definitely warrants booty-shaking. The bar service needs serious help here (as it does in most of the venues at St James). It can take quite a while to get your drink, but the second you put it down on one of the tables, at least five servers scurry up from out of nowhere to put down a coaster. Are they worried the place (which is TigerLive during the day) is going to get dirty?
