Owned by the same people who run Harry’s, this place is quite a departure from its half-siblings. Modern in décor and with dim but classy lighting, the inside is lined with booths that encourage groups of friends to congregate and mingle. Although there isn’t a formal dance floor sectioned off, as the night progresses and more drinks are consumed, any standing room becomes an arena for you to get up and move along to the Indian beats, provided by a DJ and percussionist.
$15, includes 1 drink.
Happy hour 6-10pm daily.

I should have checked out these post prior to going because the service me and my friend received was bad and people did not know how to speak and treat the guests. Trust me don't go and save your money. There are better clubs you can attend in the area.

Your DJ after 3am.. Harvy.. Seriously.. Get him out of there. He never played what the guest request for.. It's always his choice of music. What kind of DJ is he?? Doing as he pleases? Get him out. Seriously get someone better.

I don't know but you guys but I most certainly enjoyed myself. I mean yes maybe the DJ could be better but I think the songs are fine as it is. And the bouncer and bartenders are pretty friendly and nice. I did enjoyed myself even though it was my first time there. Definitely will be paying them more visits!!

Everything's ok about the place..the one thing that's not ok as it bloody stinks after a certain time and the management should really consider getting some auto releasing air freshener in there!

Hey all who are saying good and bad things about rupee room or any other Indian club in singapore.
Guys!! please dont forget the initiative taken by the owners of these indian clubs in singapore to keep high spirited indian music available and alive outside india.
We dont have many choices and we should never have else we will always ignore the good and keep running after more n more...
Lets accept this fact , you will never get the same quality of indian club night life over here in singapore..
why are we creating fuss of it, playing blame games , pin pointing about music or DJs. There is no need , if you dont like it , then please dnt go, but if u want to really enjoy life in limited resources then we must learn to accept..
So accept and enjoy the music and have a blast in your lives.Atleast you are getting indian music in some form outside india, so why to crib , just enjoy n try n have the indian feel..
so lets stop blaming and critisizing and enjoy life king size happilyy...

@Jiv:"stand there, shake hands, and yeah I am enjoying" u really don't need shake ur hands to show that u r enjoying ,if u r surely not enjoying. Walk up to the DJ and pen down your request to him. Do not worry you wud not be bounced back by the bouncers unless you are totally drunk and not good to talk!

Okay , things that suck about Rupee . You pay cover charge 15/20 and you get one standard drink . Other clubs on fridays and saturdays? 2 standard drinks .
The DJ is not that great. I tend to like just stand there , shake hands and like yeah I am enjoying . And lastly , there are certain group of people who are in close cliques with e bouncers , DJ and bartenders who think they are big shots and get away with anything . Besides that , Im sure Rupee is fun -.-

Arpan, thank You for liking my all time favourite place. I agree with you that every Indian would like it. And so do I. But I do not agree that the DJ is not doing a good job. It is the music which holds the crowd always not the ambiance. I say he is definitely doing a great job by keeping me hooked to the floor all night long. Excuse me, if I offended you but he is my personal favourite....So a big CHEERS for him.....

The Rupee Room is seriously an awesome place for clubbing for Indians. The best thing is the crowd there, looks the same as some Bombay-bar, something like munni badnam hui type. This place rocks, but the only problem is with the DJ, he doesn't do his work properly, but then too an Indian will surely enjoy here.....

This place is Mast hai...and a MUST hai for all Indians away from home....Music is fab....better than the best clubs in Mumbai and Delhi...as they play true Bollywood...Keep up the good work showmakers!

I am sure almost everyone who has been to a Good club and Rupee Room will agree to me that DJ really sucks. He plays full songs and he will play same kind of songs together. Like once he starts Panjabi numbers , he will play for 1 hr. And if you give him some request , he will never be innovatibe to mix it to make it interesting. I wish there be more DJ's for bollywood music here.

Indian Weddings are now a big time affair. Big stars like Shah Rukh Khan,Salman and many others are performing at weddings To my knowledge, these stars do make a significant part of THE BOLLYWOOD industry. So,what else you expect at an exclusive bollywood club????? So next time u visit The Rupee Room then "NAACHO DIL KHOL KE"
Posted on Wed 24 Mar 2010 13:25:47
The Rupee Room is like your very own Juke Box there is "request your song" service available at The Rupee Room.......You could probably on your next visit request for your favourite bollywood numbers...... I always do...... And to my surprise my request is generally heard ...... May be more PunjOOS are requesting.Hence More Punjabi nos. so next time try to voice out your demands thru the right channel........
