In this film adaptation of the hit Japanese comic book by Kiminori Wakasugi, Soichi Negishi (Matsuyama) travels to Tokyo in hopes of launching a career singing stylish Swedish twee-pop. A twist of fate and a band called Detroit Metal City recruits him to masquerade as a ‘demon emperor’ named Johannes Krauser II who plays death metal.
