In Tang-dynasty China, Emperor Xuanzhong and his favourite concubine Lady Yang flee his palace during a rebellion as he has failed to rule the country well. His army insists that Lady Yang be executed, for they believe she is the cause of his weakness. Features appropriately royal costumes.
