Les Contes d’Hoffmann (The Tales of Hoffmann) is a musical manifestation of three short stories by E.T.A Hoffmann all centred on Hoffmann’s encounters with three of his greatest lovers - Olympia the marionette, Antonia the singer and Giulietta the courtesan.
This production is directed by Opera de Nice director, Paul-Emile Fourny, and the melodies are performed by the Singapore Lyric Opera (SLO) Orchestra, with singers, SLO Chorus, SLO Youth Choir and choruses from the Philippines and Malaysia to be conducted by Benjamin Pionnier.
Sung in French with Chinese and English surtitles.
