Is it fair to pit an American chain against local joints? After all, at least five Americans claim to have invented the hamburger (they battled it out in the late 1800s). But why mess with success? Hard Rock Café’s burgers are ‘still quite original’, says Ed Soon. ‘[And] why would anyone want to have a different burger when it has already been perfected?’ Try the classic bacon cheeseburger on a toasted bun ($14.90).
Burgers $14.50-$24.50++.

Tempted by the recently achieved title of Best Burger in town, we went in with great expectations, only to walk out most disappointed. If you want a really good burger, and for half the price, check out Carls' Junior burgers! PS: And if you go anyway (don't come back to us weeping) don't go for the 'highly recommended' house-ice tea as it's got a really odd taste (cardamon or something?), and I'm clearly not the only one disliking it as our waiter pro-actively suggested if we wanted to change it for something else!?!? Not going back.
