Talking Point

First, make sure you've printed out your invite to Time Out's Big Wild Out! at Butter Factory on 21 November, 7.30pm. We'll be plying you with great music and free booze because we're just that kind.
The big movie release this week is Body of Lies, the latest from Ridley Scott. It stars not one but two huge Hollywood stars ─ Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe (in cinemas from 20 November).
It's art lovers' week with exhibitions galore to keep you busy. Start off at 'heART Cambodia', where you can buy some of the paintings as Christmas presents at a bargain $16 for a good cause. Move on to 'Treble Personalities, Treble Meanings' at Connoisseur Art Gallery, 'Maps' at the Substation Gallery, 'Superheroes Save the World!' at Utterly Art and 'My Favourite Place' at the Goethe-Institut.
Don't miss 'David the BEST!' from 19 to 22 November ─ a comedic interpretation loosely based on the story of David and Goliath ─ or Play in Progress Experience from 19 November to 19 December, where you can develop social and storytelling skills, among others.
Be serenaded by the SSO under the lead of Darrell Ang in 'Bravo, Paganini!' on 20 November, or the Singapore Lyric Opera in 'Puccini Gala - A Celebration of Puccini's Works' on 21 November. For something a little different, catch 18-year-old Japanese popster May'n at the Anime Festival (see below) on 23 November.
A few more bits and bobs to fill your week: if you're a budding comic writer, check out Creating Graphic Novels from 19 to 21 November, if that's not your bag, why not hang out by the river to watch the 26th Dragon Boat Racing Regatta on 22 and 23 November?

KylieX2008
Kylie is coming and yes, we are excited. The tour (which cost a whopping US$16 million thank you very much) has already been through 21 countries across Europe, which means it should be pretty flawless by the time it gets here. She'll be performing songs from her latest album X but don't fret, there'll be old favourites in there too. Oh, and we're jealous of the Jean-Paul Gaultier wardrobe ─ some people have all the luck.
