About comments on MC: Important to note if MC was bad no way MEDIACORP will give TV offer. MC is also owner and founder of Comedy Masala. I am big fan and best part of show is when MC has fun with audience and talks to front row. Some comedians very good. Proud that Singapore is producing good quality comedy. Keep it up.

Faz is good but it's Sing, lah, not a big city. It is the only apparent weekly open mic that gets them on the map. The mc is in okay form since being on the map for taping but his side antics of foolish drunk behaviour and bullying but maybe that is the norm here?

Dont agree with SA! attended first 2 TV episode recordings and Umar was excellent! not drunk at all! although some comedians fell below expectations but to be expected at amatuer night. Agree with SA that drinks are very cheap! will go back for sure!!

Some of the comics were funny. Umar the drunk host who lost total control was not worth the time though drinks were cheap for Singapore. It was a struggle to listen to someone who recycles truly talented comedian material and is high or drunk to the point of embarrassment.
We left disappointed but there is not much else in the way of comedy here so it seems it is better than reality if you are not regular to comedy.

no doubt - comedy masala is the best tuesday night entertainment option. been to other open mic nights in UK and nothing compares to this. highly impressed with local singaporean comics. and yes the host is very funny. been twice and varying degrees of comics but def worth the money. happy hour all night is great.

So these guys go to a club, and complain about "drunk people"? "Quality control"? What is this, a Ford assembly line?
At $10 entry, and $12 for 2 drinks all night, this is killer. A great night out, for laughs. And if rudeness and chatter are turn-offs, watching standup comedy is not your thing.

It very hard to see stage cos so crowded with loud drunk people (especially host man). most comedian not very good and no quality control... one of the comedians told me new place is China1 at Clarke Quay and much better show.

Fun once but they need a new host and a time limit for his nonsense chatter and rudeness which takes away from the show.
That guy has a screw loose and aside from tacky self promoting and inability to captivate the crowd, doesn't know when to be quiet or funny, unless you want to hear same jokes every week about terrorism and backpacks which are older than dirt.
Some of the comedians are funny but many not too original or moved on. Hear a new place is opening soon which will be refreshing to those desperate for a true comedy fix. For now our girl Kumar or monthly shows a better bet.
