The setting, Grangewood School for girls; the year, 1927. Heroine Daisy Meredith, a scholarship elementary school student from a poor background, enters the elite boarding school world. As Daisy endeavours to solve the mystery of the Beaumont treasure, she must skirt expulsion and the prejudices of her schoolmates. This production scooped the Olivier Award for Best Comedy.
