Not enough people have dim sum brunches anymore. Not that there’s anything wrong with eggs Benedict, but sometimes the mood calls for siew mai and a touch of Chinoiserie chic. Enter Cherry Garden’s all-youcan-eat dim sum menu, which was completely overhauled in January. The spread brims with Canto classics like thick congee studded with shredded chicken and century eggs, homey double-boiled winter melon soups, silken drunken chicken and crisp prawn dumplings. Each month, new items are added, keeping the boredom at bay. New items in June: perch steamed in a spicy plum sauce, and kurobuta stir-fried with garlic [fb02] owers and honshimeiji mushrooms. At $38, it’s easily one of the better value weekend brunches in town. Level 5, The Oriental, Singapore, 5 Raf[fb02] es Ave, Marina Square (6885 3538). Sat-Sun 11am-3pm. $38, children 6-12 $19.
