Tucked away at the back of Holland Village is Indochine’s Siem Reap, otherwise known as Siem Reap I (not to be confused with Siem Reap II, which is on the waterfront). This cosy drinking nook has a dark interior perfect for unwinding away from the more bustling section of Lorong Mambong. Of course, that’s only when it’s not soccer season, when the bar turns into a roaring madhouse. It houses Singapore’s first ‘water bar’ – offering customers a range of natural, sparkling and flavoured agua – which strikes us as a little pretentious, considering it’s…well, water. One more strike against the planet.
