Not to be outdone by the Grand Hyatt’s Straits Kitchen, the Shangri-La hotel has its own snappy (and expensive) take on the food court. Located right next to the lovely green swimming pool area, it’s an ultra-modern space in a Stanley Kubrick-esque palette of white-on-white, with bright orange panels, put together by celebrated designer Adam Tihany. There’s a wealth of international flavours to choose from on the menu, including dim sum, sushi, hawker fare, vegetarian options and marvellous bread puddings.
