Those familiar with its previous location along Hindoo Road in Little India can get reacquainted with this kitschy eatery at the new Dorsett Hotel. While the childhood knick knacks, antique jukebox and gramophones and wooden pushcart with free kacang puteh remain, it’s the food – a fusion twist on local dishes and European fare – that impresses. Choose from the Asian Harvest section, with a nasi goreng istimewa ($10.90) and nyonya assam prawn with pineapple ($8.90) or the Western Delights, featuring the Net Catch of prawns, mussels and squid in a white coconut broth ($15.90) and a wild mushroom ribeye in red wine sauce ($22.90).
