Australian haunt Boomarang Bistro & Bar begs to be a beer-stained watering hole, with its open-air seating, picnic-style wooden tables and lowback chairs. But thanks to a menu boasting a $90 Wagyu steak and king prawn salad, it’s a casual balance of comfort and class instead.
Try the mid-range lunch/dinner menu with a thick Wagyu beef burger topped with beetroot and cooked to our liking, or the tender Angus steak sandwich with barbecue sauce on lightly toasted flatbread. There’s emu, crocodile and kangaroo on the ‘all-day grazing’ list for the more adventurous, and a deep breakfast menu that rivals nearby neighbour Epicurious. Give the desserts a pass – the brownie was dry and hard.

The service is bad. Staff and management are slow are rude. Also expensive for what you get. Asked the staff for minor change to an item on the menu, but the kitchen refused to make the change and was told it comes as it is on the menu. What kind of service is this?? They are just there to serve alcohol not the food!!!

The fact that the food and setting in this place are very good does not make up for the fact the service here is terrible. The staff are either slow and inept or rude...and if you're really lucky....both!
