Malaysian café outpost at Rochester

Time Out says

The Johor-based café cum coffee roastery at Taman Gaya opens a first outpost in an al fresco spot at an old colonial bungalow in Rochester Park, brewing its own blend of beans from Brazillian Yellow Bourbon, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, and Papua New Guinea to produce brightly fruity, yet nutty and full-bodied cuppas ($6.50 for a latte). A member of the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe, the brand is in a phase of fierce expansion, recently opening another Johor branch in Taman Austin Perdana after the Yong Peng branch, with one more at Batam’s Nagoya Central in the pipeline. In this Singapore branch, they also offer barista training courses. After 6.30pm, Medici Café Bar takes over to serve up food in the quarters.
