Paris won’t seem so far away anymore – at least not while you’re out shopping at Takashimaya – with renowned Parisian patisserie and macaron-maker Ladurée finally in Singapore. The luxury brand, credited for inventing the double-decker macaron, joins French patisserie Paul Bakery (both are owned by the Holder Group), adding a distinct French flavour to the mall. Expect beautifully-packaged confectionaries, chocolates and a selection of perfumed candles and home fragrances. Prices start at $3.80 per macaron (yes, including its famed caramel with salted butter) – a box or two of these prized treats could be just what the dessert doctor ordered.
