This boutique bakery lets your choose a cake flavour – Nutella, cinnamon walnut or raspberry chocolate, just to name a few – and match it with your favourite butter-cream icing (say banana, mandarin orange, or even durian). While the number of possible combinations is intimidating, they have a more manageable list of recommended pairings to help you decide. Try the Healthy Bunny (carrot cake with cream-cheese icing), the Nuts About You (Nutella base topped with Nutella cream), or the Peek a Boo (peanut butter brownie cake topped with banana butter cream).

I went to Oni in Far East Square for the first time this week to get an assortment of cupcakes for my friend's birthday. Having spent $50 on 4 regular cupcakes and 30 minis I was very disappointed to get them home and find they weren't up to standard. I had one regular strawberry wonderland, where the cake itself was very dry. A friend ate the mango tango and the cake base was half the thickness of mine, but at least it was moist. The minis were okay, although the flavour seemed to be in the icing and none in the cakes themselves (apart from the monkey business minis where the peanut butter flavour came through), some were lovely but many seemed stale. I don't know if this is the nature of them being so small, but not what I expected. Overall a disappointing visit, I will be ordering from C-Cup again for my next cupcake delivery!!
