While their organic ‘mocktails’ such as Purple Rain (red cabbage and grapes) and ABC (apple, beetroot and carrot), may not help anyone quit the bottle, they can give you that extra rush of vitamins that your body needs. Keep in mind that this kitchen doesn’t restrict you to a liquid diet; the menu also carries a plethora of dishes both Western (pumpkin salad with plum sauce and apple cider vinaigrette) and Asian (tofu and gingko nuts with vegetables stewed in a clay pot), and fills both with a variety of grains and nuts. 9 Raffles Boulevard (6298 8198, www.7-sensations.com). BEST FOR: THE MEATY VEGETARIAN
The tender monkeyhead mushrooms that fill this menu can help ease the transition into a meat-free diet. They produce that ‘I can’t believe it’s not meat’ texture that many can’t live without. The ’shrooms are served as crispy thin slices, bite-size pieces floating in clear broth, and braised chunks with wolfberry and Sichuan vegetables. 99 Upper East Coast Road (6348 0668, www.naivecompany.com).
