Agava Smash

$22
Local ingredient: Pineapple and passion fruit
Tasting notes: Liberal amounts of pineapple and passion fruit disguise the true strength of this tipple that mixes Agava with vanilla infused tequila.
Where: Tippling Club (8D Dempsey Road; Tel: 6475 2217)

Apple & Lemongrass Martini

$24++
Local ingredient: Lemongrass
Tasting notes: Enjoy the rush given by limoncello-laced vodka with just a hint of lemongrass and honey.
Where: Axis Bar (Mandarin Oriental, 5 Raffles Avenue; Tel: 6885 3098)

Gin & Jasmine Sour

$15
Local ingredient: Jasmine syrup
Tasting notes: Ditch the standard G&T. Try this version shaken with Blue Curaçao and jasmine syrup.
Where: Oriole Cafe & Bar (#01-01 Pan Pacific Serviced Suites, 96 Somerset Road; Tel: 6238 8348)

Ice Kachang

$15++
Local ingredient: Kachang
Tasting notes: An alcoholic version of the popular local dessert with booze-laced jellies, crunchy kachang and creamed corn – who could say no to that?
Where: One Rochester (1 Rochester Park; Tel: 6773 0070)

Oriental Mule

$19++

Local ingredient: Ginger and coriander
Tasting notes:
Vodka and sake make for excellent buddies with raw ginger and smashed bits of coriander.
Where: New Asia Bar (Level 71, Equinox Complex, 2 Stamford Road; Tel: 6837 3322)

Singapore Orient

$16
Local ingredient:
Chilli
Tasting notes: Equal parts spicy (red chilli) and sweet (vanilla vodka and brown sugar) with just a dash of savoury (soya sauce) thrown in for good measure.
Where: Majestic Bar (41 Bukit Pasoh Road; Tel: 6534 8800)

The Tom Yum

$18.90
Local ingredient:
Tom Yum spices
Tasting notes: Tom yum plus vodka equals a drink that literally packs heat.
Where: Loof (#03-07 Odeon Towers, 331 North Bridge Road; Tel: 6338 8035)

Tiffin Punch

$59
Local ingredient: Ginger
Tasting notes: Served in an actual Tiffin carrier, the fruit flavoured bubbly drink tastes deceptively healthy and fresh, thanks to the use of red grapefruit and ginger.
Where: Camp (8D Dempsey Road; Tel: 6475 7787)
