The champagne-loving mum

Head to La Brezza at St Regis Singapore and graze on a wide variety of tapas. Laze the afternoon away by its poolside location with numerous flutes of Moët & Chandon bubbly.

The left-behind mum

Being out of town and apart from mummy dearest does not excuse you from showing her how much you care, so allow The Patissier to entice you with one of its exquisite creations. This month the cake specialists have dreamt up the Lemon Revelry, a tangy, citron mousse cake with crème noisette and a crispy, delicious royaltine base. Yum.

The nagging mum

If your mother’s been going on about you about getting married, having a kid, dating or just nagging for the sake of it, keep her quiet by encouraging her to munch her way through a chocolate-and-nuts buffet. And should she have a breather – ie, time for her to nag – signal for the waiter to bring over another cup of chocolate orange.

The nostalgic mum

As a child she used to bring you to the airport for a meal, and afterwards you would watch the planes taxi and take off. A buffet lunch at the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport will remind her of the good old days. Reminisce over your childish antics as you fill up on local favourites such as babi pontay, ikan assam pedas and drunken prawns.
