Who said kids have to eat simple and unhealthy food? Chef Sebastien Reullier (formerly of Sebastien’s and Picotin) has resurfaced at Rochester Park Café with a kids’ menu that features entirely handmade dishes. The lasagne is made with four varieties of vegetables; shepherd’s pie is topped with a potato, cauliflower and leek crown; and ice cream is home-made. Not that Reullier’s stopped cooking for adults – options like the pork chop Pommery and duck confit still stand. This garden café and restaurant may share the old colonial bungalow space with the Playhouse (6776 6683), but with 30,000 sq ft of land, there’s definitely room for all ages.
