Time Out says

It's not often you find a restaurant housed in a residential estate, but The French Ladle situates itself right on the ground floor of Pandan Valley Condominium, right by Holland Village. At an intimate 28 seats, there’s plenty of rustic charm with its white-brick counter. Plus, its trio of 29-year-old owners – Loi Wyman, Lisa Goh and Johnny Teh – ladle up hearty portions of French classics cooked up by Teh (formerly a chef at Absinthe Restaurant Fancais and II Lido Italian Dining) such as smooth and creamy mashed potatoes ($7.90), six-hour red wine-braised beef cheeks ($29.90) and a slow-cooked casserole of duck confit leg, pork belly and pork sausages ($28.90) – there’s no small plates philosophy here (and no GST or service charge). Currently, they don't do lunch, but they’re open for afternoon tea and brunch on weekends, with items like eggs benedict ($13.90), eggs Norwegian with smoked salmon ($15.90) and duck confit ($20.90).
