Imagine having a restaurant so busy that you refuse to answer the telephone at all. Well, here it is. PS Cafe only takes bookings by SMS and does not take bookings at all for brunch on Sunday. But it is worth the wait – just check out the huge pieces of home-made rocky-road on the counter as you walk in. The menu is quite restricted but delicious, and the service is brisk. Sit indoors near the open kitchen or outside overlooking the leafy environs. On Sundays, expect a 30-minute wait – don’t fret as we have seen some others doing, just put your name down and stroll around Dempsey Road for a while. Actually, that should help to ensure that you can manage all three courses.
Other branches: PS Cafe at The Paragon and PS Cafe at Palais Renaissance.

My previous visit to PS about two months ago was unpleasant to say the least. Very rude staff, especially the person attending to the seating up front. She had conveniently skipped us and proceeded to seat the "white" people ahead of us eventhough we had arrived first. Very condescending waitstaff who rolled their eyes at questions. Totally rubbish experience. Last night I thought I would give it another go because my friends wanted to head there for dessert. Same situation took place at the front with waitstaff deciding to attend to white people before us eventhough we were there ahead of them. I told them off and left. I'm never going back there again.

Perfect place to unwind. Great food and great service but the cosy relaxing atmosphere is what really impressed me. I've sat outside on the deck among the trees and kicked back in the comfy indoor lounge seating. It feels like you are a thousand miles away from frantic Singapore. Kudos on creating the perfect ambiance!!

I was there last sat and made no reservation so had to leave by 8pm s they fully booked that nite. We obliged but casually mentioned if there is a table for desserts pls let us know. The staff attended to us simply brushed our request with her eyes rolling to-and-fro and keep trying us - will try. By 7.30pm, there was no update from this staff and we decided to leave. I wonder is it cos we're looked differently and not "angmo"
